Support
All support is handled by email. Write to info@playcardsalot.games and a real person will read it. We reply to most requests within two business days — sometimes much sooner, occasionally longer around holidays.
One address covers every CardsALot game — STACKS, Hearts, Spades, Cribbage, and anything we add later. You don’t need to work out who to write to.
What to include
You’ll get a faster answer if your first message has these. Without them our reply is usually just a request for them, which costs everyone another two days.
- Which game, and whether you’re using the app or playing in a browser.
- Your device — phone, tablet, or computer, and roughly which one.
- The email address on your account, if you have one.
- What happened, and what you expected instead. A screenshot is worth a paragraph.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to download an app?
It depends which side of the table you’re on. Every game has one host, who sets it up, and any number of guests, who join.
- To host a game, yes. Hosting runs from the app, so whoever sets the game up needs it installed.
- To join as a guest, no. If someone invites you, you can play in a web browser with nothing to install.
One person with the app is enough to get everyone else playing.
Can we play together if we’re on different devices?
Yes. One player on an iPhone, one on an Android tablet, and one in a browser on a laptop can all sit at the same table. It makes no difference to the game.
Does everyone need their own device?
Yes. Each player needs their own phone, tablet, or computer, because everyone holds their own hand of cards.
Is it free?
Yes, within a monthly allowance.
- Hosting — you get five free games to host every month. They’re there as soon as you start playing, whenever in the month that is: begin on the 17th and you have five that day. They don’t roll over — each month’s games can only be used in the month they were given, and a fresh five arrive with the new month. If you use them up and want to keep hosting, you can buy more with an in-app purchase.
- Being a guest — always free and unlimited. If you’ve been invited to a game, no allowance applies to you and there’s nothing to buy.
Do I need an account?
Not for free games.
- Joining as a guest never needs one.
- Hosting on your five free monthly games doesn’t either.
- Buying plays does. An account is the only way we can attach purchased plays to you rather than to a device, so they survive a reinstall or a new phone.
An account is also what records your wins and losses and the people you’ve played against — without one there’s nowhere to keep that history.
Signing in takes an email address — we send a one-time link, so there’s no password to remember — or you can use Apple or Google.
My sign-in link never arrived
Check the spam folder first; that’s where it usually is. The links also expire after a short time, so if you’ve been sitting on an old email, request a fresh one. If neither works, write to us and we’ll sort it out manually.
Can I play on more than one device?
Yes. With an account, sign in the same way on each and your purchased plays and history follow you. Without one, free plays stay with the device you’re using.
Is it safe for kids?
Our games are intended for ages 13 and up. There’s no gambling, no real money, no chat with strangers, and no ads. See our privacy policy for what we collect and why.
When are Hearts, Spades, and Cribbage coming?
They’re in development. We’d rather ship them right than announce a date and miss it — STACKS is playable today.
I found a bug, or someone’s cheating
Tell us. Bug reports are genuinely welcome, and reports of cheating or abusive behaviour are read and acted on. Include the details listed above, plus roughly when it happened.
Refunds and purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, not by us — we never see your card details, and we can’t issue a refund ourselves. Refunds, where available, are handled by the store you bought from, under its own policy. Request one through Apple or Google directly, and you’ll get a faster answer than by writing to us first.
If a purchase didn’t arrive in the game, that one is ours — write to us and we’ll fix it.
Deleting your account
You can do this yourself, in any game, in the app or in a browser: Settings → Manage Account → Delete Account.
If you can’t reach the app, email us from your account address and we’ll delete it for you within 30 days. Our privacy policy explains exactly what is removed and what stays.
Privacy requests
To access, correct, export, or delete your personal information — including requests under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA — email info@playcardsalot.games. Your rights and our legal bases are set out in the privacy policy.
Accessibility
We want these games playable by everyone, and we build to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. If something blocks you — an unreadable contrast, a control you can’t reach with a keyboard or a screen reader, motion that causes trouble — please tell us. Describe what you were using and what got in the way. We treat accessibility reports as bugs, not as feature requests.
